How Do You Attach An Artificial Hedge To A Fence?

Step 1: Measure Your Fence

First, measure the length and height of your fence to determine the number of panels that you will need. The panels should be slightly shorter than the height of the fence to let the bottom slats of the fence exposed for a more natural effect.

Step 2: Install Fence Screw Hooks

The second step is to install fence screw hooks along the top and bottom of your fence. Fence screw hooks can be found at any local home improvement store. Use a drill to attach the screw hooks at each end of the fence post. The hooks are used to tie up the zip ties, which will be used to hold the hedge panels in place.

Step 3: Attach the Artificial Hedge Panels

Attach one panel of the artificial hedge to the fence by hanging it on the hooks, then using zip ties to secure it to the fence. Start from the top of the fence and work downwards. Make sure the panels are level and spaced apart evenly. Zip ties should be spaced approximately every six inches for maximum stability. You can also screw the panels directly to the fence posts, but this will make it difficult to remove or replace panels in the future.

Step 4: Repeat the Process

Repeat the process until you have covered the entire fence. Once all the panels are attached to the fence, use a pair of scissors to trim off any excess pieces of the zip ties.

Step 5: Maintain Your Artificial Hedge

Unlike real hedges, your artificial hedge won't need any water or trimming to maintain its beautiful appearance. However, you may need to clean it occasionally by hosing it down or using a leaf blower to remove any debris that may accumulate on the surface.
